Identifying Duplicate Alerts
Occasionally, alert emails are sent out when duplicate reports are detected. These alerts look similar to the example below:
Steps to Resolve Duplicate Report Issues
- Identify the Correct Database:
- Look for the jurisdiction keyword following the "ERROR - " message in the email. This will help you identify which database to access.
- Search for Duplicates in the Reports Table:
- Navigate to the reports table within the identified database.
- Search for the duplicates using the
rptty(report type) andrptper(report period) values provided in the alert email.
- Determine the Number of Duplicates:
- The last number in the alert email indicates how many duplicates exist.
- Retain the Most Relevant Report:
- Among the duplicates found, ensure that the most recent report or the one with the most updated data is retained.
- Delete the other duplicate reports.
- Verify and Confirm:
- After removing the duplicates, ensure that only one report exists for the specified type and period.
- Once verified, the issue is resolved.
