Jurisdictions often need to revert approved reports back to draft status to make additional edits. This is a common request, as illustrated in the example below:
Steps to Revert a Report Back to Draft
- Login to CDS Web Application:
- Access the CDS web application and log in to the corresponding jurisdiction. For this example, it will be CCC (Contra Costa County).
- Locate the Report:
- Once logged in, navigate to the program section to find the report. In this example, the program name is “Emergency Shelter” and the agency is “STAND! For Families Free of Violence (ESG).”
- Find the Report Number:
- Locate the report and hover over the “Edit” link to find its
rptnum(Report Number).
- Locate the report and hover over the “Edit” link to find its
- Access the Database:
- Open the corresponding database and navigate to the
reportstable.
- Search for the report using the
rptnumidentified in the previous step.
- Change Status to Draft:
- Update the
rptnumandrpttextfields by changing their status from “A” (Approved) to “D” (Draft).- “A” stands for Approved.
- “D” stands for Draft.
- “C” stands for Submitted.
- Update the
- Open the corresponding database and navigate to the
- Verify the Change:
- Refresh the report page in the CDS web application.
- Ensure the report has moved to the Draft section. If it appears in the Draft section, the issue is resolved.
